???My son will be 4 next month. He had his first dental visit yesterday and the dentist found 3 cavities. He immediately said he was going to cap them. Is this the best treatment? What are the alternatives? Thank you for your help. Joan

Filling can be alternatives depending on the extent of tooth decay... But if your dentist suggests capping then it might just be the best option....

If the dentist says you should do, then it will be the best for him.

It is advised to clean out the dead cavity material just as it occurs. If not it could get bigger and spread and will cause a painful tooth abcess. It is wiser to meet a dentist to clean up tooth cavities before it get worse. Ignoring cavities, and tooth pain is horrible. Carelessness and ignorance on tooth cavity will enable the tooth to throb endlessly and cause headaches, and even ear aches which is awful and painful.

The best treatment for the cavities is filling the cavity, because dentist removes all worst particles and refills it with a strong paste. It is the most durable and cost effective method.

I had two dental cavities and I did a nerve filling treatment for them. Now those are totally cured and it didn’t occur any pain also.
