well, we did it. the most horrible experience I as a parent have had. We did the G.A. at the hospital as planned. the people there were wonderful. I just wish the dentist had explained more to me before hand. they kept me with him till they used the gas, once he fell asleep I left and as soon as they brought him out they sent for me and had me hold him throughout recovery. THANK GOD!!! His face was completely swollen. couldnt barely open his eyes, and barely made sound as he screamed. but once I held him he didnt cry, the whole 1-1/2 hours in recovery he didnt cry. he didnt even take his pain medicine, the nurse said not to force it although he should be in a great deal of pain. someone's looking out for him, poor baby. I expected (after reading complaints) of how bad the caps look. but what is going on with the size. Dr. said his teeth were too small for the caps so they had to make his teeth bigger to fit. but my lord I swear my 14 month old baby's teeth are as big as mine now. I wouldn't think they are so bad if they were more child like. at a few feet away someone wouldnt even notice. but when he smiles it looks like we put fake teeth from a costume shop in his mouth, they look like adult teeth size wise. JUST REMEMBER PARENTS, MY BABY NEVER HAD A BOTTLE, SO THERE ARE OTHER WAYS FOR A BABY'S TEETH TO GO BAD. MY BABY'S DR. SAID NOTHING IS WRONG HIS TEETH JUST HAD IRON STAINS. I WENT TO A PEDIATRIC DENTIST, WHO DISAGREED. 5 DAYS BEFORE HE GOT CAPS, HE WENT FOR HIS CHECK UP, AND I TOLD THE DR. HE WAS GETTING CAPS, DR. SAID HE JUST HAS IRON STAINS. MORAL OF STORY: PEDIATRICIANS ARENT DENTIST. DONT RELY SOLELY ON THEM.
