Today, I took my 13 month old to the dentist for the 1st time. Hailie’s dentist said her top front teeth are bruised from her falling on them, which caused them to turn yellow. The right one is chipped & soft on the back, so he wants to put a crown on it. He said that it will be a tooth-colored (white) crown, and he will have me hold her in my lap while I lay in the dentist chair, like we did today. He said that he doesn't use gas, he will just numb her tooth. He didn't mention using a pappose, either. Anyone had their children worked on in this manner? What can I expect besides her kicking & crying, struggling to get away?
