My 4 years old son has decay in his 2 front teeth (minor so far). The problem is that my son is too sensitive and vulnerable to pain. We are really worried that if we do the filling procedure for him it can be very traumatic .. should we wait until he can feel the pain so that we can justify to him the need for the procedure or it is recommended that we do the proceduer ASAP. Please advise!

Dear Hany,
Minor decay in anterior teeth should be treated before it develops into a large carious lesion.
If you are worried about psychological trauma caused by a dental procedure, then you may want to have your pediatric dentist use conscious sedation during the restorative procedure.
