Hi, my daughter is 4 yrs and 10 months and she has got a loose tooth! Her dentist has confirmed that she will loose it soon. I'm just wondering if this is too early... Can someone please let me know if this is so unusual?

It's not unusual but its a good sign. You can find several hypothesis conveying that if the children looses tooth early there is a high possible chance of getting stronger teethes which can overcome many dental issues.

You don't have much to worry about it, consultant a dentist and ask for his advice.

It seems to be a little bit early, but it is normal. I have nieces and nephews that have lose their teeth 2-6 months before they turned to 5 years old.

No, there is nothing wrong in it and it is a usual cycle. A normal kid will lose tooth between 4 to 6 years age.

Well, I don't think it's a big issue. My daughter's tooth lost when she was 5 years.

If a 4-year-old loses one of these teeth, it's probably normal development, just on the early side. But if a different tooth is coming out, say one in the back, this is a cause for concern. "There's probably something else going on. Tooth decay is one possibility.Generally children who start to lose baby teeth early tend to be those who cut their baby teeth early (before 4 to 7 months). Likewise, those who are 8 years old and still have baby teeth are usually kids whose teeth were late coming in (usually after 12 months).
If you're worried about a loose tooth, get an opinion from your child's dentist. An exam is the best way to determine whether there's a problem.

I think this is not too early. This is the normal age when kids start losing teeth. Well, I regularly take my daughter to the Torrance dentist for regular check-up. Her teeth are quite healthy!
